CINCINNATI — A Familiar Face Joins the Bearcats
The Bearcats have welcomed a new addition to their basketball team, as Kentucky walk-on Grant Darbyshire has transferred in after spending three years with the Wildcats. His return to the Cincinnati area signifies a homecoming of sorts.
Now occupying the 13th spot on the 2025-26 roster, Darbyshire brings valuable experience from his time in the SEC, having participated in six games throughout his career. His familiarity with high-level basketball will undoubtedly benefit the team.
Darbyshire’s roots run deep in the area; he played high school basketball at Sycamore in Cincinnati and was born nearby in Florence, Kentucky, making this transition a close return to his beginnings.
