Dominic Dunn Joins Dickinson College Basketball Staff
Alan Seretti, the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Dickinson College, has announced a new addition to his coaching team. Dominic Dunn will be the latest Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach to join the Red Devil community.
Coach Seretti expressed his enthusiasm about Dunn’s addition, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Dom to our basketball program. He is an excellent communicator, a diligent worker, and embodies the spirit of winning. His experience as a first-team All-American and multiple-time conference champion, combined with a year of coaching under Coach Merkel at Randolph-Macon, has equipped him to help Dickinson advance in the 2025-2026 season.”
Dunn comes to Carlisle after a successful season on the coaching staff at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. As the head strength and conditioning coach, he created and implemented a thorough weightlifting and injury prevention program that improved the athleticism of the Yellow Jackets. His skill development workouts and daily practices played a significant role in Randolph-Macon’s outstanding 23-5 record and their victory in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) regular season, culminating in a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament, as well as contributing to the ODAC Coaching Staff of the Year accolade. Randolph-Macon head coach Josh Merkel remarked, “Dunn had a substantial impact on our players and the Randolph-Macon basketball program in just one year. He is dedicated to the development of student-athletes both on and off the court. An exceptional communicator, he consistently helped our players improve through his relentless approach. Coach Seretti and Dickinson are getting an outstanding young coach who is also an excellent person. He will certainly be missed here in Ashland, but we are excited for his journey with the Red Devils!”
As a collegiate player, Dunn exhibited both leadership and skill at two universities. While at Widener University from 2022 to 2024, he led the Pride to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, earning NABC First Team All-American honors in 2024 and D3hoops.com All-American accolades in 2023 and 2024. He was recognized as the MAC Conference Player of the Year, MAC Tournament MVP, and played a key role in winning a conference regular-season title in 2024 and the tournament championship in 2023. Dunn also received NABC District 5 Player of the Year honors along with multiple all-region and academic awards, reflecting his commitment both on and off the court. Widener head coach Chris Carideo commented on Dunn joining the Red Devils, stating, “Dominic is a winner! He inspires greatness among those around him and finds innovative ways to contribute to winning. More importantly, he is a remarkable person with an incredible work ethic! As an All-American player, he is set to become an All-American coach and mentor. The Dickinson basketball program is fortunate to have Dom as their new assistant coach!”
Before his time at Widener, Dunn excelled at Susquehanna University from 2018 to 2022. He led the River Hawks as captain to two NCAA Tournament appearances and was named a first-team Landmark Conference selection in 2022 after aiding in conference championship victories in 2020 and 2022. Additionally, he garnered second-team all-conference honors in 2019, maintaining a consistent scoring and defensive presence throughout his four-year career.
Expressing his excitement about joining the Red Devils, Dunn said, “I am truly honored and thrilled to join the Dickinson College community. Dickinson has a rich history of success both academically and athletically, and I look forward to building relationships with our student-athletes and supporting them during their collegiate journey.”
Dunn holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Development from Widener University, which he completed in May 2024, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Susquehanna University, obtained in May 2022.
