London, UK, 21 August 2025: Today, the FIM World Supercross Championship unveiled a historic development with the signing of the Geneva Agreement and the entry of Stark Future into the 2025 World Supercross Championship.
The Geneva Agreement prioritizes fans by establishing a three-year commitment between the championship and all seven teams. This ensures participation from leading riders and ongoing investment in top talent, fostering a competitive atmosphere at each event in future seasons.
With this agreement, Stark Future has joined as the seventh team, marking the first fully electric team to compete against combustion-engine bikes in an FIM-sanctioned supercross championship. The Geneva Agreement outlines financial support for teams through the end of the 2027 season, including participation fees and additional incentives for teams that recruit top riders and contribute to the sport’s development.
World Supercross has pledged significant investment in the sport, introducing an enhanced seven-figure prize fund for teams in the championship. This initiative reflects World Supercross’s commitment to elevating the sport’s profitability and fan engagement.
Tom Burwell, CEO of World Supercross, stated: “Our fans are at the forefront of our decisions. The Geneva Agreement represents a vital advancement in our mission, ensuring premier rider lineups and enhancing competition. This is a pivotal moment for our teams and fans, providing long-term stability and fostering sustainable growth for the championship.”
Stark Future will compete alongside prominent teams such as Pipes Motorsports Group, Quad Lock Honda, and Rick Ware Racing. The debut of the Stark Varg bike at Round 01 of the 2025 World Supercross season in Kuala Lumpur will mark a significant event in supercross history, with an experienced rider lineup transitioning from traditional combustion engines.
As the sport moves forward, Stark Future aims to prove that electric bikes can compete at the highest level, embracing the challenges and excitement of racing against the best in the field.
