Seahawks reshuffle defensive linemen
Expect continued roster changes not related to injuries in the coming weeks. Nose tackle Justin Rogers was released on Tuesday, making way for Thor Griffith, a former defensive tackle from Harvard and Louisville. Griffith was named an FCS All-American during his time at Harvard and registered three sacks while playing for the Cardinals.

Offense shows improvement
After Monday’s practice, where Mike Macdonald expressed dissatisfaction with the offense, many were curious about how the unit would perform on the second day of padded practices. It appears the players took the feedback seriously, showcasing a stronger performance across the board.
The offense kicked off practice with better momentum, as Mike Macdonald desired. All units scored touchdowns in a quick red zone drill—AJ Barner caught a pass, while George Holani and Damien Martinez both had rushing touchdowns.
Sam Darnold then connected on a 35-yard deep throw to JSN (against Jobe) in the follow-up team session.

Drew Lock had his first training camp interception, caught by corner Nehemiah Pritchett, who is fighting to stay on the roster after a challenging rookie season.

Given the Seahawks’ recent draft picks at wide receiver and the addition of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Dareke Young’s position on the roster looks uncertain. However, he had several standout moments during Tuesday’s practice.

Seahawks will continue their training camp on Wednesday, July 30 at 1 PM PT, though fans will not be allowed to attend. Their next public session for season ticket holders is scheduled for Thursday, July 31 at 9:45 AM.
