Jeffrey Dean Morgan is still surprised that he is hosting NBC’s Destination X.
“When NBC called, I thought they had the wrong person,” Morgan revealed in an exclusive interview. “I live on a farm, slay zombies, and am a dad.”
At 59, the Walking Dead actor admits hosting was never on his radar throughout his lengthy career.
Morgan was juggling career demands while dealing with his father’s declining health, making him hesitant about taking on more.
Ultimately, his wife Hilarie encouraged him to reconsider, leveraging her background in hosting from her days on MTV’s Total Request Live.
Reflecting on his hosting experience, Morgan states, “I spent a month and a half in Europe as a fun and quirky host, and I loved it.” He expressed enthusiasm for the new opportunity, despite his age.
