Kat Timpf Shares Health Update Post-Surgery
Fox News personality Kat Timpf underwent a double mastectomy after recently revealing her breast cancer diagnosis, which came just hours before she gave birth to her son. She shared the update on her Instagram account on March 20, joking about her post-operative condition.
Timpf announced her cancer diagnosis on February 25, stating, “Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.” This shocking news was part of her unconventional birth announcement.
The 36-year-old reporter posted a photo of herself at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Josie Robertson Surgery Center in New York City. In her post-op update, Timpf humorously captioned a snapshot of her hospital gown and feet, with “censored” written across her toes, remarking, “They’re honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant.”
Support poured in from colleagues, including Fox News commentator Greg Gutfeld, who commented, “Can’t wait to have you back,” and Dagen McDowell, who expressed her love with the simple message, “I love you.”
During her recovery, Timpf also received a cake from her co-host Jessica Tarlov, featuring the message “Titty free and fabulous!” in bright icing. Timpf shared this moment on her Instagram Stories, thanking Tarlov with colorful emojis.
Prior to her surgery, Timpf had reposted a photo of herself outside the medical center, sharing her determination to overcome the challenges she faced. Despite the daunting circumstances, she noted that doctors detected the cancer early, ensuring it was Stage 0 and unlikely to have spread.
Reflecting on her dual journey into motherhood and battling cancer, Timpf expressed gratitude for her early diagnosis and her new role as a mother. She concluded her update with a message of resilience, celebrating humor and hope amid chaos, stating, “Here’s to resilience, to miracles in the midst of chaos, and to finding humor and hope even on the toughest days.”
