Meghan Markle Displays Her Humor
Meghan Markle is bringing her playful side to the forefront.
Just two weeks after launching her series “With Love, Meghan” on March 4, the 43-year-old Duchess sent a handwritten letter to Amanda Hirsch, host of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, after Hirsch expressed feeling “scared” by the show’s trailer.
On Wednesday, 33-year-old Hirsch posted a photo of Meghan’s note on her Instagram account profile.
The social media influencer included a screenshot of her comment on Meghan’s Instagram post from January 2, where she stated, “You guys I’m scared for Meghan.”
Meghan’s Heartfelt Response
In her note, Meghan aimed to reassure Hirsch. She wrote, “Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don’t be! This is the fun part — let’s enjoy it,” and signed off with “As ever, Meghan.” This coincides with the name of her lifestyle brand, “As Ever,” which is backed by Netflix.
Markle’s note featured her elegant handwriting, a skill she honed while working as a freelance calligrapher before her acting career took off. The stationery was adorned with her personalized monogram, a flowing “M” topped with a crown.
Hirsch’s Excitement
Hirsch was so surprised by receiving Meghan’s letter that she exclaimed in her post, “OH MY DUTCHESS.” She elaborated further on her Instagram Stories, giddily expressing her disbelief, “You guys. I just got a letter. And I was like, what is this? What is this? What is this?” waving the envelope embellished with Markle’s crest.
She hilariously noted, “Any guesses?” about the letter’s content. Explaining her initial comment about being “scared,” she mentioned her concerns over the potential backlash Meghan might face regarding her show, adding that she is now a “new fan for life.”
The Thrill of the Moment
Hirsch went on to express her enthusiasm over the letter, saying, “Like, obviously framing this. Beyond shook. Beyond spiraling. Did I smell the paper? Yes! Do I want my own monogram? Yes. Am I absolutely flabbergasted and obsessed? F—K. YES.”
Additionally, Hirsch humorously compared her excitement to that of Dave Portnoy when he shared a note from Taylor Swift, stating, “Keep it to ourselves? Couldn’t be us.”
What’s Next for Meghan?
Meanwhile, Netflix has already renewed “With Love, Meghan” for a second season and has wrapped up production. Reports revealed that filming for the second season commenced in January, following the successful debut of the eight-episode first season, which features friends like Mindy Kaling and former “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer.
