Service Gone Awry
Occasionally, customer service can deteriorate completely. This is what one Pittsburgh woman claims happened during her visits to her favorite casino.
Tawnya Snyder’s Experience
Tawnya Snyder, who goes by “Your Empowered Bestie for the Restie” on social media, shares a shocking story about Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. In a TikTok that has garnered nearly 10,000 views, she expresses her disbelief regarding the treatment she and her husband experienced after being loyal patrons for ten years.
A Significant Venue in Their Lives
The casino has played an important role in Snyder’s life as she met her husband there and often visited for events, hotel stays, and dining. As Black Card holders in the casino’s “Rush Rewards” program, they anticipated a certain level of respect.
Unexpected Disrespect
However, Snyder claims the couple was met with continuous rudeness and confusion. While enjoying a quick meal in her car, she detailed how they felt disrespected by the casino staff.
Escalating Issues
The situation worsened when a server advised Snyder to enter a VIP area for help with a card problem. Afterward, she was sent back out without any assistance. The next day, she received rude communication from a casino representative, who informed her that security had been notified of her presence in the restricted area.
Banned and Uninvited
Despite attempting to clarify her situation, Snyder feels she was threatened and informed once more of her lack of welcome. Even after trying to pick up a complimentary gift, she faced more card issues and received another call from the same representative, reiterating, “You’re not welcome here.”
Planned Celebrations Complicated
Complications continued, as the couple received invitations for New Year’s Eve at the casino, which they planned to attend with her parents. Yet, following another incident with their card, a different representative issued a 30-day ban against them. He insisted they sign a document that threatened “criminal trespass” if they returned before the ban expired.
A representative from Rivers Casino told BroBible, “We cannot confirm or comment on matters pertaining to any specific guest or individual.”
Advice from Viewers
Many viewers of Snyder’s TikTok are suggesting that she file complaints with external authorities. One viewer advised contacting the gaming commission, while another suggested reaching out to the Better Business Bureau. Some recommended that Snyder simply take her Black Card to another casino that might offer better treatment.
