Meet golf influencer Tisha Alyn
Tisha Alyn discusses her social media career as a golfing influencer with Fox News Digital.
The world of golf is extremely competitive, making it hard for athletes to break through.
While only a few golfers reach the prestigious PGA or LPGA Tours, others are content with competing on the Korn Ferry or Epson Tours, or pursuing opportunities with LIV Golf.
Among them is Tisha Alyn, who has carved a niche as a top golf influencer, amassing over 1.3 million followers on TikTok and 519,000 on Instagram, placing her among notable influencers like Paige Spiranac and Grace Charis.
Alyn has been in love with golf since she was three and began competing by the age of seven. Her journey has taken her across the U.S. in various competitions, including NCAA Division 1 at Cal State Fullerton. “Golf has always been my primary path,” she expressed in a recent interview.
From 2015 to 2018, Alyn played professionally but faced challenges securing funding. As social media began to flourish, she shifted her focus to building her online presence, hoping to attract sponsorships. “I realized I had an opportunity here,” Alyn noted.
Creating content is time-consuming, and Alyn embraces challenges both in entrepreneurship and dealing with online criticism. “Staying focused on your path is essential,” she stated. “I’ve grown thicker skin over time, and I understand that negative comments often stem from jealousy.”
Endorsements from golf legends like Annika Sorenstam highlight the importance of influencers in expanding the sport’s reach. Alyn treasures this validation, believing that those who engage positively with the sport will help it thrive. “I aspire to inspire and grow the game,” she concluded.
