We find ourselves in a unique transitional phase regarding prospect rankings. It’s the period after the Draft but before the signing deadline on July 28. Traditionally, our rankings aren’t updated until all draftees are signed.
However, we have noted that our rankings are somewhat outdated ahead of the Trade Deadline on July 31. While we have made some “market corrections” to our Top 100 Prospects list, the team-specific Top 30s have largely remained the same. We aim to refresh these lists to provide more current information for the upcoming trades.
This is not a complete re-ranking; that will occur in August when we incorporate the 2025 Draft class. Instead, we’ve updated every team’s top 10, adjusting rankings for players who should move up or down by at least ten spots.
Highlights from Each Team Update
Blue Jays
The Toronto pipeline has undergone a pitching revolution this season. Trey Yesavage’s rise to the Top 100 is noteworthy, alongside solid performances from Johnny King, Khal Stephen, Kendry Rojas, and Juaron Watts-Brown. Don’t overlook breakout bats like Yohendrick Pinango and Victor Arias.
Orioles
While it’s important to temper expectations for lower-level players, right-hander Esteban Mejia’s 100+ mph fastball and Nate George’s all-around performance at Single-A Delmarva warrant excitement, both debuting in the top 10.
Rays
Carson Williams has bounced back after a tough start in Triple-A Durham, now boasting a .287/.391/.605 line with 11 homers. He retains the top spot in the system, while others like Cooper Kinney and Colton Ledbetter have jumped at least ten positions.
