NC State has inked a deal with 4-star Ven-Allen Lubin, who transfers from the ‘University That Shall Not Be Named.’ Despite prior controversies, he brings three seasons of Power 5 experience (two in the ACC and one in the SEC) and is set to enhance the Wolfpack’s front court for the 2025 season.
The hallmark of Coach Will Wade’s inaugural team is FLEXIBILITY—a phrase you will hear frequently in the coming months. With Lubin onboard, NC State has the potential for a seasoned lineup: four seniors and one junior, all top 5 transfers from teams that participated in the 2025 NCAA tournament:
- Tre Holloman: Senior (247 ranked #110) – played 106 games (Michigan State)
- Alyn Breed: Senior (#216) – played 90 games (McNeese State)
- Terrance Arceneaux: Junior (#134) – played 85 games (Houston)
- Darrion Williams: Senior (#6) – played 100 games (Texas Tech)
- Ven-Allen Lubin: Senior (#144) – played 91 games (miscellaneous)
Coach Wade Continues to Achieve the Unexpected:
- Joined NC State and immediately set goals for relevance, aiming for a top third ACC finish and an NCAA tournament berth in his first season.
- Successfully recruited a 5-star high school player without being able to recruit off-campus.
- Secured a 5-star transfer from the Kansas Jayhawks.
- Signed a talented athlete from Chapel Hill (a small town near Raleigh).
