Yankees Legend and Future Hall of Famer CC Sabathia Joins Softball Stars Jennie Finch and Natasha Watley
Featuring the All-Star Futures Game and Celebrity Softball on July 12 at Truist Park
Major League Baseball has revealed the initial roster for the 2025 All-Star Celebrity Softball Game presented by GEICO. Among the participants are two-time Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles, renowned Atlanta musician Quavo, Latin music stars Eladio Carrión, Young Miko, Myke Towers, and Wisin, along with comedian and entrepreneur Druski, Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo, Olympic softball gold medalists Jennie Finch and Natasha Watley, and Yankees legend CC Sabathia, an inductee into the 2025 Hall of Fame.
The MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game is set to take place on Saturday, July 12 at Truist Park. This event benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, celebrating its nearly 29-year partnership with Major League Baseball. It will feature notable athletes and entertainers in a lively five-inning exhibition just before the T-Mobile Home Run Derby and All-Star Game presented by Mastercard. Fans purchasing All-Star Saturday tickets can attend both the All-Star Futures Game at 4:00 p.m. and the Celebrity Softball Game that follows.
Spotlight on Participants
Jordan Chiles recently won Olympic gold with Team USA Gymnastics in the All-Around at the 2024 Paris Games after securing silver in 2020. A member of the UCLA Bruins gymnastics team, she boasts multiple NCAA championships and will be making her All-Star Celebrity Softball Game debut.
Quavo, a rapper and entrepreneur from Atlanta, will be appearing for the third time in this event, having participated in 2021 and 2022. Known for his work with Migos, he’s also made appearances in popular TV series. Quavo founded The Rocket Foundation to promote violence prevention.
Comedian Druski, known for his viral sketches, gained major recognition via social media and has produced several successful shows. He has been honored as one of the top comedians on the internet, further establishing his status in the entertainment industry.
A Diverse Lineup
Fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo, recognized for his brand Fear of God, combines meticulous craftsmanship with a unique take on American fashion. He’ll also be vying for the title after winning the MVP award in 2019. Other performers like Eladio Carrión and Myke Towers bring their Latin music backgrounds, enhancing the celebrity roster.
Softball Legends Join the Fun
Jennie Finch is set to participate in her 15th Celebrity Softball Game as an ambassador for MLB Softball. Similarly, Natasha Watley will also join Finch for her fifth game, both serving as advisors for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League.
CC Sabathia, a decorated MLB veteran now in his third Celebrity Softball Game, is celebrated not only for his achievements on the mound but also for his community efforts through the PitCCh In Foundation and his company, Grapefruit Media.
