The Switch 2 is now in its second month, and Donkey Kong has made his return, having just debuted in the Mario Kart World lineup. DK is back in his own exciting game— and it’s promising to be quite a treat.
In fact, Donkey Kong Bananza appears absolutely fantastic, and we are thrilled to finally experience the latest offering from the creators of Super Mario Odyssey. Nintendo plans to follow this up just a week later with the Jamboree TV update for Super Mario Party Jamboree. With numerous Switch 1 games still on the way as well, the summer months in the northern hemisphere are shaping up to be very busy!

Upcoming Switch 1 & 2 Games for July & August 2025
Donkey Kong Bananza – 17th July
Nintendo’s upcoming release after Mario Kart promises an enjoyable adventure. Our quick playthrough of DKB during the Switch 2 Experiences left us very impressed.
With a redesigned DK showcasing his strength against the environment, we have high expectations for this 3D platformer while we wait for Mario’s return to his classic action.
Join Donkey Kong as he ventures deep into the Underground World, discovering amazing locations and using his mighty punches to obliterate obstacles in this destructive escapade.
Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV – 24th July
Despite the lengthy title, SMPJNS2E+JTV will serve as a showcase for Nintendo’s new multiplayer CameraPlay feature, allowing players to overlay their faces in-game. Jamboree TV will introduce fresh content, making it exciting for both newcomers and existing fans of the series.
If you already own the previous version, you can upgrade to the Switch 2 edition by purchasing a separate digital Upgrade Pack.
- Exclusive gameplay mode using Jamboree TV
- New control modes utilizing a mouse, microphone, and compatible USB-C camera (sold separately)

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – 27th August
Promoted as “more than just a port,” Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar aims to revamp an underappreciated DS game from the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons series with updated visuals and full voice acting, a series first.
Experience the breezy hills of Zephyr Town as you revive your farm and rejuvenate the town’s once-popular bazaar while engaging with delightful local residents for friendship and romance.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – 28th August
A beloved title returns with the NS2 Edition, featuring an all-new Star-Crossed World section along with enhanced visuals and performance from the original. We rated this 3D platformer a solid 9/10, so we have high hopes for its return.
After a devastating meteor strikes, Kirby must navigate through uncharted territory using his unique abilities, including brand-new Mouthful Modes.
