Scottie Scheffler’s Stellar 2025 Season and the Rewards for His Caddie
Scottie Scheffler is having an outstanding season in 2025, with six wins on the PGA Tour, including two major titles. His caddie, Ted Scott, has also greatly benefited from this success.
While caddying for top golfers is typically lucrative, Ted Scott is reaping substantial rewards through his partnership with Scheffler. Despite not matching his earnings from 2024, Scheffler remains focused on the upcoming Ryder Cup.
Even with a dip in income, this year has been exceptional for the world’s No. 1 player. Scheffler has won six tournaments, one shy of last year’s total, but he has doubled his major victories, triumphing at both The Open and PGA Championship.
Scott, who has been Scheffler’s caddie for nearly four years, is seeing significant financial gains from this successful collaboration. Before joining Scheffler in late 2021, he spent 15 years caddying for Bubba Watson.
The partnership has proven fruitful, with Scheffler’s most notable successes occurring after Scott came on board. This season alone, Scheffler has already earned over £20 million on the PGA Tour.
Caddies typically earn a standard percentage of their golfer’s winnings—10% for tournament victories, 7% for top-10 finishes, and 5% for other placements. However, Scheffler may offer even more, though he has been coy about specific figures when asked previously.
In a recent podcast, Scheffler acknowledged the importance of having Scott by his side, stating that their collaboration significantly changed the trajectory of his career. He highlighted the team dynamic and friendship they share, reinforcing how vital Scott has been to his success on the course.
