Players are categorized into pricing tiers of USD 120,000, 80,000, 40,000, and 10,000. Ashwin heads the USD 120,000 group as he prepares for his debut in global franchise cricket following his retirement. Initially reported by Cricbuzz, Ashwin will be participating in the ILT20 auction.
Notable Players in Various Brackets
The USD 80,000 bracket includes notable players like Jason Roy and Fakhar Zaman. Meanwhile, the USD 40,000 category features seasoned competitors such as Shakib Al Hasan and James Anderson. In the USD 10,000 bracket, players like Temba Bavuma and Paul Stirling are expected to be included, alongside various UAE players.
Franchise Auction Budgets
Each franchise has a budget of USD 800,000, plus any leftover funds from a previous USD 1.2 million allocation. Notably, both Dubai Capitals and Gulf Giants have the highest budgets, each standing at USD 1,035,000.
Squad Requirements and Regulations
Post-auction, squads must consist of a minimum of 19 and a maximum of 21 players, including at least 11 from Full Member nations and specific requirements for UAE players, as well as regulated slots for players from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
