Launch of Project Pink Campaign
The Chumash Casino Resort has begun its annual Project Pink campaign on October 1st, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout October, they will offer a variety of pink-themed treats and drinks at their dining spots to generate funds for a local nonprofit organization.
Support for Local Healthcare
A portion of the funds raised from this campaign, supplemented by a matching donation from the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Foundation, will benefit the Breast Imaging Center at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital. This center receives backing from the Foundation for Cottage Rehabilitation and Goleta Valley Cottage Hospitals.
Community Commitment
“Project Pink has become a significant yearly event at the Chumash Casino Resort, thanks to our dedicated Food and Beverage team,” stated Kenneth Kahn, Tribal Chairman. “We take pride in supporting the Breast Imaging Center at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital, which plays a crucial role in our community every day.”
Featured Treats and Cocktails
The campaign will showcase themed desserts at the Grains & Grounds dessert case throughout the month. New offerings this year include cherry blossom coconut cake and raspberry orange panna cotta, along with beloved favorites like funfetti pound cake and red velvet cake. The signature drink for the month will be the Prickly Pear Margarita, a lively drink with watermelon and bubblegum flavors.
Raising Awareness
Breast Cancer Awareness Month emphasizes the importance of early detection and screening, while also gathering funds for cancer research and support initiatives.
