The Curva Sud has declared a protest for the first 15 minutes of the game in Parma due to frustrations over ticket sales.
Milan’s ultras are often in the headlines. After returning to San Siro to support their team, they are facing persistent issues with travelling to other stadiums.
For tonight’s match at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, the group plans to protest for the first 15 minutes, expressing their discontent with the current procedures for away fan ticket allocations.
Curva Sud Voices Concerns
A statement from Curva Sud outlines the challenges they’ve encountered this season, particularly in the early away games. MilanNews has shared their sentiments.
“This year’s ticket sales for the Parma away match have left us appalled: a significant portion of the organized fan base has been denied tickets, disregarding merit and the loyalty of those who consistently support the team!”
“It’s essential to examine the ongoing issues we’ve faced this season, as they are not new. Here’s a recap of the challenges we’ve encountered:
LECCE: According to Official Notice no. 109, clubs must reserve at least 5% of total capacity for away fans. Lecce has consistently ignored this rule, with only 1,000 tickets available instead of the 1,600 permitted by law, disappearing rapidly.
“As a result, we have faced inflated costs, paying €20 more than the standard price for tickets through unofficial channels for three consecutive years.
UDINESE: Similar issues arise where anyone can buy tickets without any priority, leading to separate sectors for fans. JUVENTUS: The only club mandating registration to purchase away tickets, leading to further complications.
ATALANTA: A small sector without preemption and additional card recognition problems have caused loyal fans to miss out, forcing them to buy tickets at inflated prices through online platforms.
PARMA: The situation became even more dire, as anyone could buy four tickets without the requirement of a membership card or online sales, leading to a rapid sell-out before many loyal fans could secure tickets.
“These are the ongoing issues we’ve faced for seasons. This is how ‘People’s Football’ is portrayed by sports institutions. AS FAR AS WE’RE CONCERNED, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
“We refuse to be held hostage by sales methods that lack meritocracy and ignore the value of loyal attendance. Our concerns, raised repeatedly to AC Milan, have gone unaddressed, leaving us frustrated by flawed systems.
“In a sign of protest in Parma, we will remain silent until the 15th minute of the first half to honor those dedicated fans who are often sidelined due to these unfortunate ticketing practices.
“This season has shown how football suffers without active fan participation. The time has come for decisive action from authorities to resolve these persistent issues, including capping ticket prices, which have inflated compared to what other fan bases pay.
“AVANTI MILANISTI, ALWAYS WITH MILAN IN YOUR HEART!”
