MSI has unveiled two new 32-inch 4K 240Hz monitors in their QD-OLED series ahead of CES 2026. The models, MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 and MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24, feature the cutting-edge 5-layer Tandem QD-OLED architecture with EL 3.0 panel technology, raising the standard for brightness efficiency and durability in the 32-inch 4K market. These are considered 4th Gen QD-OLED panels, succeeding last year’s 27-inch 4K model that utilized the same EL 3.0 material. Additionally, the new panels incorporate a ‘DarkArmor’ film aimed at enhancing panel strength, scratch resistance, and improving black levels in well-lit environments.
DarkArmor Film

This innovative film technology enhances light absorption while eliminating the purple or reddish hues typically seen on conventional QD-OLEDs in ambient light. MSI claims this technology can improve black levels by as much as 40%, which significantly enhances contrast and overall image quality. The film also increases screen hardness from 2H to 3H, providing 2.5 times better scratch resistance to endure everyday usage.
New HDR Adjustable Modes

Additionally, MSI is rolling out new customizable HDR modes. They note, “to fix the abrupt brightness changes often present in standard HDR, this feature enables users to adjust the HDR brightness curve based on specific brightness levels corresponding to different display window sizes, ensuring a consistent brightness experience across various scenarios.”
This customization allows users to fine-tune HDR settings, potentially finding a middle ground between usual TB500 and Peak modes. It’s important to note that while these modes enhance user experience, MSI will also continue to provide their recently introduced ‘EOTF Boost’ mode.
Specs
The panels measure 31.5 inches (32-inch class) with a flat design. They incorporate 4th Gen QD-OLED technology, featuring a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 0.03ms G2G response time, 300 nits SDR brightness, 178-degree viewing angles, 10-bit color depth, and a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut. They hold the VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification, while also offering a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Adaptive sync will accommodate a native refresh rate of 240Hz in VRR scenarios.
The MPG model includes MSI’s A.I. Care Sensor for burn-in protection, along with other functionalities included in their OLED Care 3.0 package, whereas the MAG model features OLED Care 2.0. Additionally, the MPG model comes with several extra capabilities compared to the MAG model, such as increased USB-C power delivery (98W compared to 15W), two USB-A data ports, and support for MSI’s Gaming Intelligence software. Both models will include headphone connectivity and a stand that offers tilt, height, and swivel adjustments.
