Asus recently hinted at the launch of a new monitor on their social media, and now we can present the official details of this innovative OLED display, which will be featured at CES this week. The ROG Swift PG27UCWM is a 27-inch monitor utilizing LG.Display’s new 4th Generation Tandem WOLED panel. This technology provides a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution with an RGB-stripe sub-pixel configuration, a first for this panel size, which enhances clarity for text and images compared to older RGWB versions. With a pixel density of approximately 166 PPI, users can expect exceptional sharpness and detail. The monitor boasts a native refresh rate of 240Hz and includes a dual-mode option that can ramp this up to 480Hz at a reduced 1080p resolution.
Specifications of the Asus ROG Swift PG27UCWM

This monitor measures 26.5 inches (27-inch class) and features a flat design centered around LG Display’s 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem WOLED panel. It supports a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, has a pixel density of 166 PPI, a 0.03ms G2G response time, and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with a 10-bit color depth. The screen undergoes factory calibration to ensure a dE value of less than 2.
While not all specifications have been disclosed, it’s expected that this display will meet the VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black standard. Additionally, Asus has confirmed that it will support Dolby Vision HDR content alongside standard HDR10. The monitor also supports Adaptive Sync, allowing Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) from compatible systems.
RGB-stripe Layout and Brightness Specs

The RGB-stripe sub-pixel layout eliminates the additional white sub-pixel, resulting in a lower peak brightness compared to other recent Tandem WOLED panels. While Asus has not released specific brightness statistics, LG Display has indicated that this monitor will offer 250 nits for SDR, peak brightness of 1000 nits for HDR (at 1.5% Average Picture Level), and 500 nits at 10% APL. The RGB structure also provides an additive approach to color brightness, enhancing the color volume in HDR scenarios.
Design and Connectivity

The monitor features a sleek design reminiscent of Asus’ previous models, now finished in black rather than silver. It incorporates Asus’ OLED Care Pro features and a Neo Proximity Sensor, alongside modern connectivity options, including one DisplayPort 2.1a (UHBR20 tier) and one USB Type-C (with DP alt mode and 90W power delivery). HDMI 2.1 is also expected to be included.
Final Notes
Pricing details are yet to be revealed, but Asus anticipates launching this monitor in the first half of the year, likely around Q2. Further comprehensive coverage of this monitor and other Asus models will be available on our YouTube channel soon.
