The U5226KW by Dell may lack significant innovative features apart from its size, but the company aims to attract professionals who often run multiple applications simultaneously, particularly those using multi-monitor configurations.
Last week, Dell introduced its large UltraSharp monitor priced at $2,900 with a stand or $2,800 without one.
While all-in-one (AIO) devices are often overlooked, Lenovo has introduced a unique model called the ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition. This AIO stands out due to its square-like panel and a 16:18 aspect ratio, making it taller than standard AIOs such as Apple’s 24-inch iMac, which typically have a 16:9 aspect ratio.
The Aura Edition features a 27.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560×2880, powered by an Intel Core Ultra X7 Series 3 processor, and can accommodate up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM and two M.2 SSD storage slots. Lenovo anticipates that this device will attract creators, programmers, and data professionals who benefit from an easy-to-view portrait display, allowing them to see two A4 pages or complete datasets simultaneously.
Additionally, Lenovo plans to include business-oriented features such as Lenovo DeskView, which allows users to digitize documents placed in front of the monitor for quick sharing. Moreover, the ThinkCentre X AIO will launch with Lenovo Share Zone, enabling the screen to support both the AIO and an external system at the same time.
Noteworthy AIOs are rare these days; Lenovo has also announced a 32-inch 4K-resolution Yoga AIO I Aura Edition, designed for consumers who enjoy colorful lighting. With many companies prompting employees back to the office, there is growing interest in ways to enhance workspaces with AIOs, large displays, and even keyboard-PCs, which are simpler for IT departments to manage while utilizing less space.
Lenovo did not reveal the price or release date for its tall AIO model, but it aims to accommodate those preferring taller displays.
