The twin gods of Lorwyn and Shadowmoor embody the balance of light and darkness. They emerged after Oona’s defeat but are believed to have always existed, recently returning from the Primal Beyond. One travels while the other rests, perpetually maintaining equilibrium regardless of the consequences for the other inhabitants of the plane.

Once an avatar of Oona, Maralen now plays a pivotal role in guiding Lorwyn-Shadowmoor, interpreting the desires of its people from her seat in Glen Elendra. Though her powers are still developing, she aspires to match Oona’s former might as the fae queen.
