Each year, I conduct a weekly mock draft simulation for the NFL to track evolving needs for the Philadelphia Eagles, player draft stocks, and potential shifts in selections. With several months before the 2026 NFL Draft and upcoming exhibition games, workouts, interviews, and the combine, expectations will undoubtedly change. As it stands now, here’s how I would approach the Eagles’ eight picks in this year’s draft.
Simulation conducted using the Pro Football Focus Mock Draft Simulation. No trades considered.
Pick 1.23: Brandon Cisse, Cornerback, South Carolina
Brandon Cisse possesses the attributes of a premier NFL cornerback: he is tall, well-built, and athletic. Known for being physical at the line of scrimmage and a willing run defender, he shows flashes of excellence in coverage, though he requires further experience for development. The Eagles can afford to have Cisse as their third corner, but enhancing the outside position opposite Quinyon Mitchell is essential, and Cisse has the capabilities to excel there.
Pick 2.54: Eli Stowers, Tight End, Vanderbilt
The specifics of the Sean Mannion offense remain uncertain, but influences from Lafleur, McVay, and Shanahan suggest the significance of a pass-catching tight end. Historically, these systems have leaned on talents like Tucker Kraft and George Kittle. While the Eagles may retain Dallas Goedert, bringing in fresh talent like Eli Stowers could significantly enhance their aerial attack. Stowers, though not a standout blocker at 235 pounds, is an impressive receiver at 6’4″, creating mismatches in the passing game.
Pick 3.68: Gennings Dunker, Offensive Tackle, Iowa
The upcoming offseason promises significant changes for the Eagles’ offensive line, especially with transitions expected following Jeff Stoutland’s departure and potential retirements from Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson. Gennings Dunker, once projected as a first-rounder, still possesses remarkable attributes including height, weight, and athleticism. After a less impressive 2025 season, he remains a promising candidate for the right tackle position with proper coaching.
Pick 4.122: Kaytron Allen, Running Back, Penn State
Selecting Allen in the fourth round appears to be a bargain. He is a versatile and powerful back, ripe for development into a dependable three-down player for the Eagles as they move past the Saquon Barkley era. With uncertainties surrounding the running game under Sean Mannion, the Eagles presently lack a solid RB2 option.
