New Indoor Golf Simulator Set to Open in Indiana Township
The weather is always ideal for golf at the soon-to-launch indoor golf simulator in Indiana Township, named Swing 412. Slated to open in March, this venue will offer over 500 high-tech virtual golf games suitable for all ages interested in honing their skills, learning the game, or celebrating occasions.
A Unique Business Collaboration
This business idea originated among friends enjoying craft beverages at Sip Taproom, which is located adjacent to Swing 412. The two establishments share a space and are separated by a door, making it a convenient spot for diversifying social activities.
Ownership and Concept
Maria Larson-Edwards, who is not a golfer but is married to one, partnered with her husband, Mike, along with their friend Kevin Quijano and his wife, Dr. Kim Howard-Quijano, to co-own Swing 412. The collaboration arose from their quest to find a business that complements the atmosphere of Sip Taproom, which has been serving specialty drinks since 2021.
Indoor Golf Accessibility
Swing 412 will provide three golf simulator bays available for online booking, priced at $60 per hour. While the venue does not have a kitchen, customers can enjoy food from Sip Taproom or local businesses in Hartwood Towne Centre and are also permitted to bring their own food (alcohol excluded).
Innovative Technology and Memberships
The facility will feature the advanced TrackMan technology, allowing users to track swing data and participate in global tournaments. Memberships at various price points will provide guaranteed access to simulator time each month, with distinct tiers offering additional benefits.
Excitement and Community Focus
Quijano emphasized the appeal of combining socializing with sport, noting that “golfing and beers go hand in hand.” The indoor golf offering is expected to enhance community engagement, catering to a demographic that enjoys both golf and social interactions.
Future Prospects
With a staff of four to five part-time employees, Swing 412 aims to deliver a unique experience that’s exciting and competitive, appealing to the local golf-loving population. Quijano believes this venture will elevate the offerings available in the community.
