Brian Shirley and Brandon Overton lined up on the front row as they prepared for the 50-lap dirt track event.
Main Event Report
As the green flag waved, the drivers quickly formed three-wide into the first turn, with Overton emerging as the leader off turn two.
With 39 laps remaining, the race was interrupted by a caution due to a slow vehicle.
Following the restart, Cody Overton hit the outside wall, bringing out another caution.
On the next green flag, Overton and Davenport battled side-by-side for the lead, with Davenport taking the lead with 38 laps to go, only for Overton to slide back into the lead.
As they continued trading sliders for the lead, Davenport found traction on the high side with 34 laps remaining, sliding past Overton to take the lead once more.
With 21 laps to go, a tangle between two cars brought out another caution, but upon resuming, Davenport maintained his lead over Hudson O’Neal.
After another caution with 13 laps left, Davenport cleared O’Neal, and ultimately, Jonathan Davenport clinched the victory at Golden Isles Speedway, marking his position as the winningest driver in the series’ history, surpassing Scott Bloomquist.
