HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Reddick’s Future with 23XI Racing
23XI Racing and driver Tyler Reddick are reportedly nearing a contract extension that would secure Reddick’s long-term position with the team, according to 23XI co-owner Denny Hamlin during a team event celebrating Reddick’s Daytona 500 victory.
While Hamlin refrained from sharing specific contract details and noted that nothing has been finalized, he expressed confidence that Reddick, who has achieved four wins in the first six races of the 2026 season, would remain with the organization. He is currently finishing the last year of his contract with the team, which is partly owned by NBA icon Michael Jordan.
Hamlin dismissed the possibility of Reddick joining another team, stating, “No, I don’t think so,” when asked about the driver’s potential departure.
After an impressive start to the season, which included a win at NASCAR’s prestigious Daytona 500, Reddick continued with victories at EchoPark Speedway and the Circuit of the Americas, making him the first driver in NASCAR’s nearly 80-year existence to begin a season with three consecutive wins. His fourth victory came at Darlington Raceway, solidifying his early-season dominance.
Reddick currently leads the Cup Series standings with a substantial 95-point margin over second-place Ryan Blaney. His four wins this season already mark the highest total by any driver in the six-year history of 23XI Racing.
Expressing his satisfaction with the team’s progress, Reddick stated, “I want to be here; I love racing here at 23XI and I’m looking forward to getting all buttoned up so we can move on.” 23XI recognized Reddick’s potential before he had even won a Cup race, signing him in summer 2022, ahead of his contract expiration with Richard Childress Racing.
Hamlin’s early faith in Reddick has paid off, as he has developed into a well-rounded driver. “He’s become what I hoped, and that is a more complete race car driver,” he remarked. Reddick has shown loyalty to the team amid uncertainties, including a contentious lawsuit against NASCAR, expressing his commitment to stay with 23XI as long as it remains operational.
