While I contemplated selecting Mauigoa, Downs, and Jeremiyah Love, the trade with a division rival ultimately provided the best value for my team.
Washington picked Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate and the Browns drafted Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, which opened the door for me to select a player I felt confident taking at the fifth spot.

With exceptional awareness and IQ across the field, Downs can affect plays from deep and successfully bait quarterbacks into errors in zone coverage. While it may seem unconventional to select a safety in the top five, his extraordinary abilities make him a valuable investment.
Olavavega Ioane, IOL Penn State
The Giants aim to adopt a more physical style of play, and Ioane fits perfectly to bolster their offensive line. Having logged numerous snaps at left guard, he meets an immediate need at right guard, essential for establishing a more robust offensive front.
Ioane’s broad frame and powerful play make him a formidable presence on the field, excelling in both run and pass protection scenarios. Despite minor limitations in mobility, his technical skills and relentless style of play signal a bright future in the NFL.
Christen Miller, IDL, Georgia
With pressing needs along the defensive line, the Giants are eyeing depth that can bolster long-term stability. While they may pursue veteran options post-draft, Miller presents an ideal candidate to develop into a reliable starter, particularly in run defense.
Miller’s blend of agility and strength makes him a compelling choice that can significantly disrupt offensive schemes. Although he may not be the most dynamic pass rusher, his solid fundamentals and high character make him a valuable asset for any defense.
