CR Today commits to correcting factual errors promptly and transparently. This procedure applies to all published articles regardless of category.
How to request a correction
Email [email protected] with:
- URL of the article
- Quoted text containing the error
- The correct information and your source (link or citation)
Response time
We aim to review correction requests within 2 business days. You will receive a reply confirming receipt and the outcome — whether the correction was made, the source for any change, and a link to the updated article.
Correction notation
Verified corrections are documented in two visible places:
- An inline “Update:” note at the bottom of the article body, with a timestamp showing when the correction was applied.
- The article’s
dateModifiedfield in our JSON-LD structured data, signaling the change to search engines and aggregators.
Retractions
Significant errors — those that change the central claim of an article — result in a retraction. Retracted articles display a prominent retraction notice in place of the original body, and the canonical URL is preserved for transparency. Retractions are not deleted.
Reader-flagged errors
If a reader-submitted correction is declined (for example, because the original claim is supported by the cited source), we explain the decision in our reply. Disagreements that hinge on interpretation rather than fact are noted but do not trigger an article change.
