Annual Gala: Casino Royale Event
The YMCA of Greenwich is set to host its annual fundraising event, Casino Royale – An Evening in Las Vegas, on Saturday, May 9, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM at the Greenwich Country Club.
This notable fundraising gala aims to unite community leaders, supporters, and friends to generate essential funds for the YMCA’s various programs and services.
This year, Governor Ned Lamont will be honored for his commitment to both Connecticut and the YMCA. As a former Greenwich selectman and a member of the YMCA board, Governor Lamont has consistently championed community projects focused on childcare, youth services, and water safety—leaving a significant imprint on families across the state.
A Night of Fun & Significance
With a Casino Royale theme, attendees will enjoy classic casino games while contributing to the YMCA’s mission. The evening will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, and a program that showcases the YMCA’s efforts within the Greenwich area. Guests will have the opportunity to learn how the YMCA’s programs empower families and individuals in areas such as youth development, health promotion, and community engagement.
In previous years, the Gala has attracted over 300 attendees, raising upwards of $450,000 to support local initiatives.
All funds raised during the Gala assist the YMCA of Greenwich in its goal to make programs and services accessible to all, regardless of financial limitations. Through financial aid and subsidized options, the YMCA ensures that youth, families, and seniors can participate in various activities at minimal or no cost for qualified individuals.
Ways to Contribute to the YMCA of Greenwich
There are several ways to support the YMCA, including:
- Event Tickets: Individual tickets are available from $600, which comes with $200 in casino dollars for use during the event.
- Opportunity Prize Drawing: A limited number of 250 tickets will be sold for $100 each. The prize includes exquisite hoop earrings with 24 rose-cut diamonds, totaling 2.45 carats, set in 18K white gold, donated by Lugano Diamonds, valued at $11,800. The winner need not be present.
- Journal Advertisements: Ads can be placed in the printed and digital event journal for visibility among attendees, starting at $250.
- Auctions: Bidders will have access to exclusive experiences and luxury items.
