Andreeva Sisters Prepare for Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Showdown
Mirra Andreeva has recently achieved remarkable success by winning two WTA 1000 tournaments in just a month—Dubai and Indian Wells—where she also claimed victories over the top two players in the world. Given her rapid rise, it’s hardly surprising if she feels a surge of confidence at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.
The tournament offers a prize of 500 PIF WTA Ranking points, over 142,000 Euros, and a stylish Porsche Macan Turbo car, prominently displayed on the Stuttgart court.

On the first day of matches, World No. 7 Andreeva admired the center court’s view, saying, “I’ve already thought about which cars I would like to get. But we’re not there yet. I’m just looking around.” Despite her tennis prowess, she humorously added, “I still don’t have my driver’s license.”
At just 17 years old, Andreeva stands out as the youngest of three teenagers in the Hologic WTA Tour’s Top 100, and she ranks the highest among them. With her birthday approaching later in April, she prepares for a challenging path ahead, especially as she faces her sister, Erika, in the first round—a sibling match that fuels both excitement and intensity.
Remarkably, Erika, 20, who is ranked No. 97, secured a place in the main draw after initially losing her qualifying match. The sisters previously played against each other earlier in their careers, with Erika winning decisively. Mirra noted the significance of the upcoming match: “We will approach it professionally as we have no choice. If it happens, it’s going to be a great and entertaining match.”
As they face each other again for the second time on the WTA Tour, the sisters are keenly aware of the challenges that come with their sibling rivalry. Mirra reflects on her recent growth, stating, “I just try to go on court and enjoy every moment. I think finding that balance has helped me a lot these past couple of months.” The upcoming match will undoubtedly test that balance as both sisters strive for victory.
