We believe DOOM: The Dark Ages is our finest installment in the series (but that’s for you to judge). Our team has invested tremendous effort, ensuring every feature shines. The game includes 22 levels packed with intense first-person shooter action, as well as new gameplay innovations like the Shield Saw and other inventive weapons, paired with an engaging action narrative that will keep you hooked until the end.
Exploration of Vast Worlds
Additionally, we’ve built vast worlds for you to explore, including a uniquely new setting for the DOOM universe: the Cosmic Realm. This area introduces you to colossal Lovecraftian architecture where you’ll uncover dark secrets and face off against formidable foes.
Cunning Foes Await
An unholy alliance between Hell and the Cosmic Realm has emerged, intertwining these dimensions and introducing new adversaries for the Slayer. One such foe is the Cosmic Baron, a fierce warrior that unleashes a barrage of psionic attacks. However, if you time your moves correctly, you can parry his strikes and turn the tides of battle in your favor.
New Weapons of Destruction
After conquering the Cosmic Baron, you’ll encounter the revamped Cacodemon, a terrifying hybrid that employs shield attacks to immobilize you and tentacle strikes to deal devastating damage. Luckily, you’ll have access to a new weapon called the Reaver Chainshot—an ancient, brutal mace that allows for both quick strikes and powerful long-range melee attacks that will leave your enemies in ruins.
Gameplay Experience Enhanced by idTech 8
There’s still much more to discover in this new realm we’ve crafted. Expect a gameplay experience filled with excitement and intense action, enhanced by cutting-edge graphics on PlayStation 5 powered by the new idTech 8. Release Date and Platforms
DOOM: The Dark Ages is set to release on May 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. It will also be accessible through Xbox Game Pass.
