Significant changes are happening this offseason within the Utah basketball program, including coaching and player transitions.
Transfers and Roster Updates
In recent weeks, head coach Alex Jensen and his team have secured commitments from six different transfers, with only two Runnin’ Utes returning to the program. Currently, Utah has filled 11 scholarship spots, with four more available due to an increase in the scholarship limit from 13 to 15 starting in the 2025-26 season, pending approval of new roster limits in an ongoing House settlement case.

Returnees
Keanu Dawes, Forward
2024-25 Statistics: 8.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 61.4% shooting
Dawes is the only returning player from last season with significant minutes logged.
Division I Transfers
Terrence Brown, Guard
2024-25 Statistics: 20.6 points (8th nationally), 5.6 rebounds at Fairleigh Dickinson.
Brown has shown remarkable improvement, making a leap from 7.8 points as a freshman.
New Signees for 2025
Alvin Jackson III, Guard
2024-25 Statistics: 6.4 points, 2.1 rebounds at Salt Lake Community College.
Notably, he is the brother of former Duke player Frank Jackson.
