Kanye West Accusations Against Kim Kardashian
Kanye West has accused his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, of leaving their 11-year-old daughter, North, unattended during the 2025 Met Gala.
On Friday, West’s attorney sent a legal notice to Kardashian’s lawyer, demanding that she “cease and desist from actions that violate” his “parental rights, exploit his children, and breach the joint custody agreement” stipulated in their November 2022 divorce settlement.
Concerns About Media Attention
West, 47, highlighted that Kardashian, 44, brought North to the Met Gala, subjecting her to considerable media scrutiny. He alleged that reports indicated North was left alone in a car during parts of the event, raising safety concerns. Furthermore, he claimed Kardashian published or authorized the sharing of North’s images and videos on social media without his consent, despite West’s explicit objections to such exposure.
Access to Children and Custody Claims
The rapper contended that he has been “denied meaningful access” to his children, specifically claiming he has had “no contact” with his son Saint, 9, in 2025. He asserted that his interactions with North, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, have been unjustly limited.
West seeks to prohibit Kardashian from posting or authorizing any media involving the children and demands the removal of existing content not shared with his permission. Additionally, he requests that she refrain from involving the kids in public events without his approval.
Threat of Legal Action
West is pushing for “unimpeded access” to his children, starting with “immediate in-person visitation.” If Kardashian does not comply, he has threatened to pursue sole legal and/or physical custody.
Kardashian’s Response and Ongoing Tensions
Representatives for Kardashian have not yet responded to Page Six’s query for comment, but sources close to her stated that she has never obstructed West from seeing the kids; he simply rarely makes the request. Last month, the musician claimed his “kids have been taken from” him, alleging he hasn’t seen Saint this year, despite past sightings documented in paparazzi photos.
A day after West’s claims, a source linked to Kardashian mentioned that he had recently been in Los Angeles but hadn’t asked to see the children, except for North, until shortly before his departure. The source insisted that there are no limitations on West’s access, emphasizing Kardashian’s focus on protecting her kids from chaotic situations.
