Everton Striker Beto Advocates for Carlos Alcaraz’s Permanent Transfer
Beto has expressed his desire for Carlos Alcaraz to make a permanent switch to Everton this summer. The two have developed a solid rapport since Alcaraz arrived at the club during the January transfer window.
Since joining Everton, Alcaraz has provided three assists in matches against Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town, and Fulham, all of which have been set up for Beto’s goals.
Their collaborative play appears to flow effortlessly, with Beto noting before the match against Newcastle United on May 24 that their synergy doesn’t require excessive effort. “It comes naturally,” he stated.
“He has a playing style that aligns with mine,” Beto elaborated. “He enjoys carrying the ball forward and making decisive passes, which suits my movements well.”
Everton brought Alcaraz in on loan from Flamengo, and while they could secure a permanent deal, he would need to have made nine starts—an unattainable number unless he features in the upcoming game against Newcastle.
Beto desires to see Alcaraz remain with the team, stating, “Personally, I want [Alcaraz to stay]. I wanted [Abdoulaye] Doucoure and [Joao] Virginia to stay too. However, the outcome isn’t solely in my hands. If it aligns with what I want, that would be ideal; if not, that’s football.”
The summer transfer window is expected to be busy for Everton, with several notable players, including Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ashley Young, already confirmed to depart.
