CINCINNATI — Bearcats Baseball Team Makes a Comeback!
The Bearcats baseball team is celebrating a major milestone as they secure their first NCAA Tournament appearance of the decade! Under the guidance of head coach Jordan Bischel, the team learned on Monday that they will be competing as the No. 2 seed in the Knoxville regional, with their opening game set for Friday afternoon against Wake Forest. This represents the program’s seventh NCAA appearance and their first since 2019.
Wrapping up the 2025 season with a record of 32-24, the Bearcats achieved a respectable 16-14 in conference play, standing out as one of just three Big 12 teams to maintain a winning record in each of the last two seasons.
Star players, including Big 12 Player of the Year Kerrington Cross, are now setting their sights on a potential run to the College World Series over the upcoming month. Excitement is in the air as the team prepares for this critical tournament.
The team’s first matchup is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Friday, and fans can catch the action live on ESPN+.
