New Additions to Hillsdale College Men’s Basketball Staff
The Hillsdale College men’s basketball program has finalized its coaching staff for the 2025-26 season, having recently hired two promising young coaches in June.
Joining head coach Keven Bradley, who is set to embark on his third season now, are Jackson McLaughlin and Braeden Proctor as assistant coaches.
“I’m thrilled to welcome both Jackson and Braeden to our coaching staff,” Bradley expressed. “Their enthusiasm and work ethic have already made a significant impact in a short time. Their deep knowledge of the game and coaching skills will greatly enhance our program and benefit our athletes.”
Hailing from Davenport, Iowa, McLaughlin comes to Hillsdale after serving as a graduate assistant at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was integral to the Vikings’ basketball operations, handling recruitment, travel logistics, and film analysis.
Before his tenure at Augustana, McLaughlin spent four years as a student manager at the University of Iowa under coach Fran McCaffery, contributing to the team’s NCAA Tournament appearances in 2022 and 2023 alongside notable players such as Luka Garza and Keegan Murray.
Proctor, a Michigan native and Central Michigan University alumnus, brings valuable recruiting experience and connections from his coaching roles at various levels, including assistant coach at IMG Academy’s elite prep program. He played a key role in leading the national team to the Prep National Championship.
Both McLaughlin and Proctor join a Hillsdale program that has enjoyed recent successes, including a 20-win season in 2024-25. The team, while losing All-G-MAC players Joe Reuter and Charles Woodhams, retains experienced contributors like starting point guard Ashton Janowski and wing Mikey McCollum, positioning them well for the upcoming season.
