UFC 326 Fight Week Overview
The UFC fight week for UFC 326 is in full swing, following a recent event in Mexico. The premier MMA organization returns to Nevada for back-to-back weekends starting this Saturday night. This weekend is particularly significant for two key reasons.
Historic CBS Broadcast
This Saturday’s event marks the first UFC show to air on the CBS television network. As part of the current media rights arrangement with Paramount Plus, selected UFC events will be simulcast on CBS, including UFC 326.
Event Schedule
Coverage of UFC 326 kicks off with early preliminaries at 5 PM ET/2 PM PT on both UFC Fight Pass and Paramount Plus. The late prelims begin at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT on Paramount Plus, with CBS joining at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT, simulcasting the first hour of the main card at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT.
Main Event: BMF Championship Showdown
The headlining fight features a highly anticipated rematch for the symbolic BMF Championship, with current holder and No. 4 lightweight contender Max Holloway (27-8 MMA, 23-8 UFC) defending his title against No. 3 contender Charles Oliveira (36-11, 1 NC MMA, 24-11, 1 NC UFC). This rematch comes after their first encounter in August 2015, where Holloway won by first-round knockout due to injury.
Recent Performances
“Blessed” Holloway enters UFC 326 with a strong record of 4-1 in his last five bouts. He successfully defended his BMF Championship last summer, defeating Dustin Poirier by unanimous decision at UFC 319. Meanwhile, Oliveira is also looking to capitalize on this fight, having gone 3-2 in his recent outings, including a submission victory over Mateusz Gamrot in October.
Co-Main Event and Other Fights
The co-main event features a middleweight clash between No. 7 contender Caio Borralho (17-2, 1 NC MMA, 7-1 UFC) and No. 8 contender Reinier de Ridder (21-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC). Both fighters are coming off losses but are eager to return to winning ways.
Notable Matchups
The main card will also feature a bantamweight bout between No. 13 ranked Rob Font (22-9 MMA, 12-8 UFC) and Raul Rosas Jr. (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC). Their fight was postponed last September due to Rosas’s injury, and both competitors are keen for a victory.
