Marvel Rivals is set for another round of updates! A new Chain-CC Protection system will help prevent constant stun-locks, Bucky Barnes is shifting from crowd control to raw firepower, and Ultron is enhancing his robotic influence on the battlefield.

KEY UPDATES
Chain-CC Protection
In Season 7.5, we’ve introduced the Chain-CC (Crowd Control) Protection feature to maintain a balanced and dynamic combat experience. Here are the key aspects:
– Trigger Condition: Chain-CC Protection activates when a Hero endures 5.5 seconds of total CC duration or is hit by 6 CC effects in 7 seconds, instantly clearing all active CC effects and giving the Hero a 30% Tenacity boost for 3 seconds.
– Tenacity Scaling: This ability reduces the duration of incoming CC. While active, each new CC effect applied increases Tenacity by 10% and extends the buff by 0.5 seconds.
– Full Immunity: Reaching 100% Tenacity grants complete CC immunity until the buff expires, meaning no additional Tenacity is gained from incoming CC during this period.
– Cinematic Exclusions: Certain animation-based CC effects like Emma Frost’s Carbon Crush and Monster Hulk’s World Breaker are unaffected by this system. Their durations cannot be reduced, and any standard CC effects will only be cleared after the cinematic concludes.
– Cooldown: Chain-CC Protection has a 5-second cooldown that starts once the last Tenacity effect ends.
CHARACTER ADJUSTMENTS
Emma Frost: We’re slightly reducing the energy cost of her Ultimate to enhance her effectiveness in combat.
– Decrease the energy cost of Psionic Seduction from 3400 to 3100.
Deadpool (Vanguard): We are reducing his burst damage and survivability to maintain balance.
– Lower The Ban Hammer’s health gain per hit from 80 to 60 (standard) and from 80 to 70 (upgraded).
– Decrease damage dealt per hit from 45 to 35 and reduce Attack Speed boost from 60% to 40%.
Peni Parker: We’re lowering her base survivability but enhancing her Cyber-Webs for better team play.
– Reduce base health from 700 to 650.
– Increase maximum Cyber-Webs on the field from 3 to 4 and raise Bonus Health from 150 to 200.
Ultron: Changes are made to expand his Ultimate’s area of effect for broader battlefield control.
– Adjustments mean Ultron’s Drones now bombard an area instead of a single target, raising the coverage from a 3m radius to a 6m radius and increasing healing effects on allies.
TEAM-UP ABILITIES
TWEAKS & NEW TEAM-UPS
Guardian of the Deep (Venom – Jeff the Land Shark/Hela): We’re toning down the healing output of this alliance.
– Reduce extra healing converted to Bonus Health from 100 to 50.
Lucky Loan (Black Cat – White Fox/Captain America): This new team-up brings about unique capabilities for the trio, enhancing their collective combat prowess.
