Yesterday: Djokovic Survives Late Fall to Secure Semi-Final Spot
Novak Djokovic managed a thrilling recovery despite a fall in the final game, defeating Flavio Cobolli to reach the semi-finals.
Djokovic matched Roger Federer’s record of 13 men’s semi-finals at Wimbledon, now holding the record solo after coming back from a set down to win 6-7 (6) 6-2 7-5 6-4.
While it was Cobolli’s first quarter-final appearance, he proved to be a formidable opponent, capturing the attention of the Centre Court audience with strong forehand play.
“I want to congratulate Flavio on a fantastic tournament and a great match today,” stated Djokovic.
“He played excellently, demonstrating significant talent and skill. We’ll certainly see more from him in the future.”
