Capcom announced that Yasmine, a new downloadable content character for Street Fighter 6, will launch on August 3.
What happened
Street Fighter 6 Year 4 character Yasmine will become available to players on August 3, according to Capcom. Yasmine, who hails from the Philippines, learned to fight alongside her brother under their grandfather’s tutelage. Following her brother’s sudden disappearance, Yasmine seeks him out, inspired by videos of a French supermodel.
Yasmine uses various high-speed Eskrima techniques in her fighting style. These techniques include “Daloy ng Tubig,” a swift knife attack that helps extend combos, and “Alon,” a multi-slice follow-up hit. Her moves are designed to create combat variety and depth.
“Yasmine’s Level 3 Super Art … pulverizes her opponent in an all-out attack,” Capcom stated in the announcement.
Why it matters
Yasmine is the first character from the new Year 4 roster, which will also include other characters like Arjun and a character from Final Fantasy VII Remake. Her release marks a significant update to the game, attracting both existing players and new fans.
The release also includes Battle Balance adjustments across the entire Street Fighter 6 roster, indicating a focused effort to enhance gameplay dynamics. Players are encouraged to review the Battle Change List prior to maintenance.
